By the way Salona – Servitium which is connected Adriatic coast with Panoniom kept one of the oldest Roman inscriptions engraved in the canyon Vaganjca, some 20 km south of Šipova in the area of the village Vagnja. The inscription on the stone learned that the centurion Manlije Celije VII of legion on the order of Lucia Arnucija Skribonijana, the emperor governor province of Dalmatia determined to divide the land and set the stone between Sapuata and Emantina. The inscription is set between 37 and 41 years n. e at the time of Emperor Kaligula.
For the first time in the history of the city, the tourist organization of the municipality of Šipovo was officially established on June 19, 2007 by the Municipal Assembly of Šipovo.
